Red Cross Blood Drive
Tuesday, August 24th from 2-8 p.m. here at St. Patrick. To make an appointment, call Christopher at 248-887-1972. If you can't make that one, there is one on Thursday, August 26th at Lakeland High School from 1-7 p.m. Please note that the Red Cross will honor those with appointments over those who are walk-ins; so if you want to be "in & out" in a timely fashion, call for an appointment TODAY!

Screening for blood pressure on the second Sunday
Health Fair (annually, in the fall) includes some diagnostic screening tests as well as flu shots, informative materials and displays, and health care personnel to answer questions.
At the request of the Christian Service Dept., a Parish Nurse will make a pastoral home visit to assess a situation and make recommendations for the benefit of the person involved.
Education programs and training classes such as CPR and Concerns of persons with disabilities.
Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick -- This can be arranged by contacting Christian Service at 248-698-3103. The Sacrament of Anointing can take place in the home, in the hospital, or at the church. Persons should be anointed before surgery or extended therapy or treatment, if there is a condition such as a heart problem, diabetes, an addiction, or mental or emotional illness. The elderly and those with compromised immune systems should also be anointed. This sacrament is for healing, not death, and can be received more than once. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is celebrated during a weekend Mass at least once a year.
