Pastoral Council

Nine men and women and one at-large parish teenager volunteer their service to St. Patrick as the Pastoral Council.  The purpose is to assist our pastor and pastoral team in shaping and achieving the mission and vision of our parish.  Our mission statement is, “To praise and to worship God in the Word and Sacrament; and to live His Word through living service to ALL people.  On this active faith journey, we are called to be disciples who affirm, heal and forgive in the love of Christ.”

Three of our nine council adult members are selected annually, each serving a three-year term.  Our teenage representative serves one year.

Our primary goal for 2014-2015 has centered around three ideals.  First, to develop opportunities for deepening the knowledge, understanding, and practice of our Catholic faith in order to become a more evangelizing parish.  Second, to develop opportunities for parishioners of all ages to respond to their baptismal call to intentional discipleship by participating in parish life.  And third, to use technology to continue to communicate effectively with all parishioners.

Soon we will be seeking parishioners for our next Pastoral Council selection process; we hope you will consider this an opportunity to volunteer your time and talent for this valuable service to our parish.
