Giving to others is one of the best ways to show our gratitude to the Lord for the many blessings He has given to us. Your generosity makes a direct impact on others in our community and beyond.
No amount of giving is too small to make a significant difference to those around you. There are so many opportunities to give of the time, talents and treasures the Lord has bestowed upon each of us.
Below you can find all sorts of ways that you can help others. Check back often for updates. Thank you so very much for your willingness to be of service.
We hope you can participate in this wonderful project to help those less fortunate have a nicer holiday season. It is such an incredible project to participate as a family because each family member can create a box, filled with love for a person who is just like them. How can you participate?
Lables for the boxes are available in the Chistian Service office. The people in the Appalachian community will be so glad about your choice to be generous. Please call 248-698-3100 with any questions.
If you are unable to fill a shoebox but would like to contribute some of these items listed above, that would be very helpful as well. Please place items in the basket marked "Christmas Shoe Box Project" near the statues at the back of the church by November 15.
Friday, November 13th from 10am-4pm.
Please go to redcrossblood.org to schedule your blood donation appointment.
*You must enter the building using the doors from the Union Lake Road parking lot by the gym.
Recently, the requests for help with rent, utilities and food has increased greatly as you would expect with so many out of work. Please remember, St. Vincent de Paul has been helping families throughout the COVID-19 crisis. If you are able, please consider a donation to enable them to continue to help those in need. The best way to get fund to St. Vincent is to write a check out to St. Vincent de Paul and place it in an envelope in the collection box or mail it to the Parish (Attn: St. Vincent de Paul) or in the poor boxes at the back of the church. Thank you for your generous support!
St. Rita's of Holly and St. Anne's of Ortonville are asking for our help this Thanksgiving. The need for food is so great that they are unable to meet thier overwhelming requests. Please support our local parished by a donation of the following food items: Canned Vegetables, Boxed Stuffing, Boxed Instant Potatoes, etc. Please write St. Rita's/St. Anne's on the donation bag. Thank you!
We are looking for volunteers to lead our weekly Rosary. Please contact Lisa Powaser at [email protected] if you are interested. Together our prayers are even more powerful.
